Charitable Donations & Sponsorships
We’re dedicated to giving to our local community and welcome your request for support of your event or fundraiser.
Donation Requests
Because we receive a high volume of requests, we ask that you submit your request via email at [email protected].
Details
Please let us know the name of your event, the date, time and location. Also include the number of expected participants or attendees, your organization’s name, and 501 (c) (3) status.
Include your name, email, and phone number. Donation options are gift cards for auctions, coupons, event sponsorship (limited), and product donations. Product donations are limited to direct fundraising events such as an Empty Bowl dinner or direct donations to people who would otherwise have limited access to our products (food shelf, free bread for children and families). I’m sorry, but we do not donate products for staff meetings. Please be as specific as you can about your request. We are unable to mail gift cards or coupons, so please plan for pick up at the bakery. Requests must be submitted at least 3 weeks in advance of the event.
Note that the organization and event must be in Chittenden County, Vermont. Because we pride ourselves in serving freshly baked products, we don’t donate day-old pastries or bread to events. If you are with a local organization that provides free meals or food (such as a shelter or food shelf), please contact us to discuss availability of product.
We will respond through email to inform you if we are able to donate to your organization!
Marketing
We are able to provide a high resolution logo upon request. Please do not pull a logo from our website. When referring to the bakery in print, please note that it is spelled August First Bakery (not August 1st!)
We thank you for that! We also ask that you display any provided signage that we send with our donation.
Non-Profits
501 (c) (3) organizations are given preference over others. We require a letter on letterhead that notes our donation, its value, and your 501 (c) (3) Non-profit tax ID.
Thank you very much!
